The Tulane University Marching Band Alumni Association (TUMBAA) is the social and professional networking organization for former members of Tulane Bands. Each fall, TUMBAA members tailgate at Tulane Green Wave football games and form the Alumni Band to perform in Yulman Stadium during the Homecoming game. Each spring, they welcome graduating members into the organization at the TUMB’s annual senior send-off crawfish boil, and from time to time, they may also pop up at an event as a brass band.

Formed by young alumni soon after the band’s return in 2006, active TUMBAA membership goes back to at least the Class of 1970 and includes the musicians, dancers, color guard members, and staff who have constituted the TUMB since its inception in 1920. TUMBAA has united band alumni from across generations and backgrounds through their shared experiences and love for music, marching band, Tulane, and New Orleans. Members form friendships and networks that go far beyond the years they spent as students.

TUMBAA operates as an official Tulane Alumni Community in conjunction with Alumni Relations. It is primarily led by Neill Aguiluz (Mellophone, Class of 2009 and 2022), Arynne Fannin (Student Staff, Class of 2006 and 2008), and Joe Foster (Sousaphone, Class of 2018), though several other alumni help to run the organization and provide critical support for programming.
